Let’s Get Rolling!

After a quick tutorial getting me up to speed with the game’s mechanics, I was ready and raring to go, making my own marble runs. Piece by piece, mistake by mistake, and soon enough, I had managed to create a somewhat acceptable first attempt. I kept my marble run on the default theme of the living room table, as I wasn’t quite ready to expand to a larger setting just yet.

It wasn’t much of a track, but it worked. It was a good way to practice with different pieces, settings and combinations of pieces to see what I could create. When you first start your Cozy Marbles journey, you’ll notice some pieces and themes are locked. These are unlocked by completing challenges and then redeeming the tickets in the store. In fact, completing the challenges is really fun and sometimes a little bit chaotic too!

I spent some more time exploring what kind of marble runs I could create and utilising some of the new pieces I unlocked. The shop is good, as you can buy a range of different things with your tickets or keep saving them up for bundles. I liked how this spread across the different fairy tale, space and toybox styles.

You can also buy cosmetics for your custom-designed marbles too. Yes, custom marbles! With arms, beards, a range of expressions and cool hats, objects and more to wear!

I’ve been having a lot of fun with Cozy Marbles and while my tracks have been quite straightforward so far, I’m excited to keep playing around with different ideas to see what happens. I’ve loved exploring the pre-made tracks and have enjoyed racing countless marbles around the tracks. You truly don’t know which marble will be your winner!

Throughout my time with Cozy Marbles so far, I’ve loved every moment I’ve played. From chaotically building various tracks, testing, failing and succeeding to seeing marbles fly off track into oblivion. The moments of childhood nostalgia came running back but in a more cosy, wholesome kind of hug. The accompanying lofi soundtrack added another element of feeling calm and cosy throughout playing but also worked perfectly when racing marbles, well, multiple marbles at the same time across various courses.

I’m excited to carry on playing, building and racing in my game as well as exploring community-created tracks via the Steam Workshop when the game launches later this month. For those wanting to stream the game, the game does come with Twitch integration as well and lets your Twitch chat drop marbles into your tracks and join races!

So, if you are looking for a relaxing, nostalgic and fun game about marbles, or if you like games such as Tiny Glade or House Flipper, Sticky Business and Satisfactory, then this is the game for you!

Cozy Marbles releases on Steam on 20th August 2026. In the meantime, if you want to dive in and get an idea as to what the game is all about, why not take a look at the game’s free demo right here.
