We’re only a few days into August however, I’ve got another game for you that’s about to move from its early access era into its full release.
Starsand Island is no stranger to this site, and it’s exciting to see its journey continue to progress. Not only do we see the game release in its version 1.0 state, but this upcoming release will see the game introduce a wave of new players through the additional console releases, multiplayer and a range of general game fixes upon its full release.

Starsand Island is a game where you find yourself wanting to escape your standard 9-5 daily life. Instead of continuing with that, you head to Starsand Island. A place where paradise awaits and you can leave the hustle and bustle behind. Upon returning to the island, players find themself taking on a new adventure. It’s one more calming, that’s slower-paced and more fulfilling than before. One which explores a serene pastoral lifestyle.
However, there’s more. Players can find time to spend time with a variety of animals, including cats, dogs and capybaras. Take time to relax and go fishing, explore the magical and mystical Moonlit Forest or take in the island’s untouched beauty.
In essence, Starsand Island is a game mixing life simulation, casual cosy game features and role-playing game elements all into one beautiful game. A game with a gorgeous art style full of colour and vibrancy as well as hidden surprises and discoveries along the way.

Starsand Island is the first game from developer and publisher Seed Sparkle Lab. Having first been released into early access back in February 2026, the game is full speed ahead to its 18th August 2026 full release!

Where can I purchase Starsand Island?
Starsand Island is currently available for purchase on Steam as well as Xbox. Upon the game’ full release, players on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 will be able to also join in and explore island life.

The game will be available digitally as a standalone base game or with additional bundles which add exclusive cosmetic options for your player or additional objects you can use to furnish your homes and use. There will also be a physical edition launching later in November for Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5.
Currently, the game is priced at £33.50 on Steam or £32.99 on Xbox. These prices will vary depending on your location. At the time of writing, there is no confirmed pricing for the PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch 2, although it is likely to be around similar pricing to the previously mentioned platforms.
