Top Picks and Highlights from Summer Game Fest 2026

Summer Games Fest kicked off on June 1st, and it’s like Christmas for gamers! There were plenty of showcases, including PlayStation State of Play and Xbox Games Showcase, where some standout games were revealed. I'm super pumped for the new Rayman Legends reimagining and the announcement of Final Fantasy VII Revelation. The Wholesome Direct was my favourite, with so many adorable indie games catching my eye. Overall, this year's festival has left me with an even bigger gaming backlog to look forward to!
