Totopia, Where Cosy Meets Social Party Game Fun

This year seems to be the year of ‘topia‘ games, and today I wanted to introduce you to another one. Now, Totopia caught my attention when some information about the game landed in my emails recently. At first, I thought this was just another cosy game that followed a similar idea as those with similar names. However, upon closer inspection, I was surprised to see it was more than just another cosy game. Instead, it’s a game that blends different popular features into one unique experience.

Officially revealed during a recent ID@Xbox showcase, Totopia is the upcoming free to play, crossplatform, social party game from Chinese developers and publisher JNG Studio. This is their debut release set to release later this year across PC, Xbox, PlayStation and mobile devices. There is no current news on a Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 release at this moment in time.

The Official Extended Gameplay Trailer

Before we go any further, firstly let’s take a look at the game’s recent extended gameplay trailer. The trailer that showcases what Totopia is all about!

Looks pretty exciting, right? A little bit chaotic but also stylish and cosy all at the same time!

Totopia Features at a Glance

There’s certainly a lot packed into this cinematic trailer for Totopia.

As described on Steam, the game is all about grabbing your friends and doing whatever you want to do when you want to. Players can become a champion of party games, a master barista, cause chaos in game nights or take to the streets of Pulse Avenue and light up the night. In Totopia, there are no limits to your in-game digital life.

However, Totopia might have over one hundred different party game maps to choose from, mixed between solo and co-op play. These range from races and brawls to everything in between and more. Yet one thing Totopia aims for in their cosy social party game is that anyone and everyone can be the main character.

Customise your character in a number of different ways, colours, styles and accessories to make the character you want to be in the game. Express yourself through your outfits and create your own signature look.

While party games, social features, and stylish outfits are one thing in Totopia, the game still packs in even more.

Players can power up and use their Soulsyn mechanics to help bond with in game companions. This allows the player to unlock secret tricks to use on levels and with their companions’ overall abilities.

Amongst all that madness comes a moment of calm, which is where Totopia’s cosier side comes to light with slower paced activities such as fishing and farming as well as having conversations with Atomons and just enjoying a more chilled experience.

Launch Details and Pricing

Totopia has no fixed launch date currently however, we do know that it will be launching on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and mobile devices. The game will be free to play from launch also.

Mic Check Playtest

For those on PC, there is currently an option on the Totopia Steam page to request access to the ongoing playtest. Upon requesting, your interest is shared with the team, and Steam advises to keep an eye on your emails to see if you are accepted.

If you are, the current playtest runs until 18th May 2026. Progress is not saved, however, you can share content according to the Mic Check FAQ found on the Totopia Steam page.

Totopia looks fun and exciting and seems to pack so many features into it for a free to play game. While not detailed, there may be the option for additional paid for elements of the game, likely cosmetics, in the future, yet there is no news on that yet. Regardless, Totopia seems to take a lot of popular elements from free to play games to create a unique and one of a kind experience. A game that offers something for everyone depending on your mood but also allows for players to express their styles and personality through outfits and more.

If you like the mix of social party games and a slower, cosier side of gaming, then Totopia is one game to keep an eye on in the build up to its release.
