Alongside the Witchbrook Team’s Dev Blogs, the team also periodically share copies of the Witchbrook Oracle!

The Developer Log Blogs

Alongside the charismatic Witchbrook Oracle are the updates direct from the development team! While there are currently two available to read, they are in fact interesting to go through.

The first, which is entitles Spellbound by Simulation and was released on 5th June 2025 covers a wide variety of topics! Not only is it the perfect introduction, it was nice to get more of an insight into how the team is bringing Mossport and the characters to life!

The development team shared their thoughts and process on the likes of one of the core pillars of Witchbrook which regarding rich world simulation as well as how the seasons changes, townsfolk and more. Of course, there’s a lot more to that, and you’ll find discussions about how townsfolk go about their day to day and how that works and without wasting resources.

Now as you progress further into the first Developer Blog, you’ll also get introduced to Hana, the game’s first dateable character and she is the peppy covenmate! You’ll be able to spot her with her infamous pink ponytail! The team also talk about how they worked on the alighting of buses and the surrounding environment with other pedestrians.

As for the second Developer Log Blog, the team entitled this one as Back to School. This was released just a few weeks ago on 12th August 2025.

In this instalment, the team dive into more about the architecture of Witchbrook, returning to school, and also introduce you to Eli! One of many friendly faces players will find on campus.

Reading up about what inspired the design of Witchbrook. The buildings, the people and Mossport in general! It’s incredibly insightful to learn how the team went about creating such a beautiful looking town that I know many of us can’t wait to explore!

There was also a small teaser as to what to expect in the third developer blog when it is released in the near future. It will give players a chance to have a look at everything to do with fashion and customisation in Witchbrook!

You can find out everything you need to know about the Developer Blogs here!

There’s no denying that even after so long, players are still incredibly excited for Witchbrook’s release later this year. It’s certainly one game that has been highly anticipated by many, especially for its unique world and themes. I’m certainly excited to jump in, learn all about magic and mystery as well as exploring Mossport too!

I feel that both The Witchbrook Oracle and Developer Blogs are excellent ways to interact with the community, share insights, and give potential players an idea as to what Witchbrook is all about alongside all the magical features.

While no firm release date has been revealed yet, we do know it’s due by the end of this year. In the meantime, you can wishlist the game on Steam and follow the team over on the game’s official website!
