June Content Overview: Cosy Side Quests and Exciting Updates

It’s the start of a new month and in fact it’s going to be an incredibly busy one in the gaming universe!

Most notably, the Nintendo Switch 2 launches worldwide in a few short days. We also have a lot of gaming showcases. From the Summer Games Fest to Wholesome Direct and a whole host of showcases spanning so many genres and styles of gaming. That’s before even getting to all the new game releases!

With so much going on, it almost feels overwhelming as to where to start or where to direct our attention first. So, let’s try and break it down a little!

Nintendo Switch 2 Release

I am excited and curious for the upcoming Switch 2 release. While I’m not getting one at launch (although I will likely get one at a later date) it’s been really nice seeing everyone getting excited and hyped for the release. Of course, this will only grow over the next few days. I also can’t wait to see more from Mario Kart World too!

Summer Games Fest

As many of us know, Summer Games Fest is that time of the year jam packed full of amazing announcements and release dates. It’s always such a busy time because not only is there the main Summer Games Fest event, you also have all the additional showcases that will also be showing off a number of upcoming games and release dates!

I’m incredibly excited for all the soon-to-be revealed news over the next week or so. It really is one of the busiest times of the year for gaming news. Curious to see what all the studios and teams have been working on lately!

You’ll catch me sharing my initial thoughts from Summer Games Fest and more over on social media!

Steam Next Fest

It’s not June without throwing in a Steam Next Fest event, either!

Another fun event showcasing numerous upcoming games, with plenty of game demos to download and install. Seriously, there’s so many that you can check out that’s you’ll have more than enough to keep you busy during the event’s duration!

Upcoming & Recent Releases

Other than the Nintendo Switch 2, there are still plenty of upcoming releases to come as well as some recent releases I’m looking forward to checking out. Not just full games but, there’s going to be plenty of game demos to explore too!

I’m not entirely sure which games I’ll be checking out in detail yet, however you’ve got the new Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma game launching this week, Ruffy and the Riverside, Death Stranding 2, Camper Van: Make It Home and many, many more games! That’s before I even dive into the various demos.

Wholesome Direct

On the theme of cosy and wholesome gaming, I’m very much looking forward to the upcoming Wholesome Direct, which is on the 7th June 2025 over on YouTube at 9am PT! The direct is also part of the Summer Games Fest line up this year too, which is incredibly exciting.

I’ll be sharing some insights, and highlighting my favourites moments from the stream over the weekend! As well as checking out the upcoming Wholesome Games Presents title, Is This Seat Taken!

June Content Plans

I’ll be honest, I usually do my best to plan out my content ahead of time but for June, it feels more of a go with the flow kind of month. I have a few ideas already planned, but you never know what may be revealed from all of these various showcases over the next week or so!

The Sims 4 Roadmap & Teasers

There’s also been a lot of noise coming from The Sims camp over the weekend, and there certainly is still plenty to come! The Team have begun teasing the next expansion pack that looks to be focused on being one with nature and also adding fairies to the game! The new roadmap is coming this week as well, and you do know I love to drop in and write about The Sims here!

Also, the expansion pack trailer drops on 12th June, so that’s something to look forward to! I certainly have some ideas in mind that I’d love to see in this expansion, but, we’ll have to wait and see!

Why not let me know what you’re looking forward to in the gaming world during the month of June!

The best place to keep up to date with these quests will be right here on, over on Bluesky and also over on Instagram!
