Dancing Pandas Ranger’s Path is a wholesome and heartwarming game, full of adventure, exploration, friendships and self-discovery.
Embark on a Wonderful Journey of Self Discovery
Jumping into the full release of Dancing Pandas Ranger’s Path, I quickly leapt off from where I had last landed in the game’s demo. Intrigued to discover where Mico’s journey would take me next, I quickly re-familiarised myself with the game’s controls and figured out what my next quest was.
From where I last left off, I had just completed fixing a bridge that would take me over to another area of the island. Being able to fully cross the bridge now meant I was still very much on my journey to finding out what happened to Grandma.

The game itself is very laid back and relaxing. There’s no pressure at all to complete the story or any quest. If you want to set off and explore the resort island, go for it. Want to complete some side quests, go ahead! Dancing Pandas Ranger’s Path, is a game where there is no grind for resources or stress to become the new Ranger as quickly as you can. You go at your own speed in a very casual way.
While there is a story line to follow, there is no need to hurry through it. For me, this was perfect and added to the overall relaxing feeling that the game had while still keeping me wondering what happened to Grandma and how I was going to find her.
During your time with the game, you’ll notice that Mico is a shy and loveable panda however, he does tend to doubt himself and what he is capable of. Being on the resort island, having to find Grandma and take on the role of the new ranger seems terrifying at first. Yet, as you continue to play, you start to see Mico realise that he can do the things that scare him and starts to feel more confident in himself.

This was something that I enjoyed about the game, how Mico was going on a journey of self discovery while trying to navigate becoming a ranger and everything else that comes his way. It’s relatable in many ways I found and if it’s not something so much that Mico has said or experienced in the game, it’s from what another panda has shared with him. There are a number of text bubbles that also have many relatable experiences scattered throughout the game, and a number that I loved seeing pop up in the game.
Overall, Dancing Pandas Ranger’s Path, was a lovely game to play through after a long day. The game itself isn’t overly long, coming in at around a comfortable four hours, roughly. It’s the perfect game to pick up and play when you’ve got a few hours spare one afternoon or weekend.
