Exploring The Demo

The demo for Dancing Pandas Ranger’s Path only takes around thirty to forty-five minutes to play. Well, in my case nearly double that as I was enjoying the music so much as I was writing this post.

For my introduction to the Dancing Panda’s games, this was certainly the perfect length for the demo. It introduced me to Mico, our main character who we play through the ranger’s journey with, as well as some interesting characters around the island.

However, why is Mico on this island in the first place? Well, it seems that Mico is in search of his Grandma. Shouldn’t be too hard to find her, should it? You would think so, but little did Mico know is that his Grandma, or Nana as she is known locally, is kind of a big deal. Overseeing the island. Little did Mico know, they were actually now the new Master Ranger after the previous one had disappeared.

As Mico begins to interact with the various characters of the island, it becomes clear that they are serious about Mico being the next Master Ranger.

And with that, the story begins to unfold. Mico now not only needs to find Nana and hopefully understand why they’ve now become the Master Ranger of the island, as well as helping out the friendly locals with various quests.

Overall Thoughts

I really enjoyed the Steam Next Fest demo for Dancing Pandas Ranger’s Path. While it took me around an hour to complete, it showcased more than enough during that time.

Getting started in the game was easy and better still you could play with either a controller or keyboard and mouse, the latter being what I chose to go with.

The game’s demo is gorgeous, cosy, relaxing, and you have the freedom to explore and complete quests at your own pace. There’s no pressure in the demo to complete them within a creating time limit or order, and it’s easy to keep track of which quests you are working through.

Every islander you come across, be it a Panda who is on vacation or who live on the island normally are unique and have some very relatable text lines as well which actually took me by surprise to start with!

Also, Mico, is very relatable, as someone who is shy and lacks confidence but loves books is facing their fears and branching out of their comfort zone on a journey not to forget!

However, Dancing Pandas Ranger’s Path Steam Next Fest demo was wonderful to explore and was lovely to just chill and hang out in the game. I’m curious to find out more about what happened to Nana, as well as learn what it takes to be the Master Ranger when the game releases in full soon!

So, if you are looking for a cosy little demo to play before the end of Steam Next Fest, make sure to check out Dancing Pandas Ranger’s Path now!
