I’ve been hooked on The Sims 4 again recently to chill and relax after work. I even got around to expanding my collection with the new The Sims 4 Lovestruck expansion, along with the Storybook Nursery and Artist Studio Kits.
Now, I’ve always wanted to see more objects for artists and creatives in The Sims 4, and it seems like my wish has been granted in a way! I remember back in the days of the first The Sims game, downloading custom content from Around The Sims to create various styled rooms including an art room, architect’s office and just a general creative workspace for my Sims.
Upon seeing the new The Sims 4 Artist Studio Kit, I knew exactly what I needed to do once it was released. Do I create just a singular art studio room, or do I go all out and create a community lot for creative Sims? So many questions, and so many ideas, but it’s time to put all of this into the game and see what happens next!

Choosing the Perfect Location
After experimenting a little bit, I settled on revamping the art studio at the Celebration Centre in San Sequoia. Instead of adding another community lot to the world, why not utilize and refresh what is already there?
As a glimpse of what the art studio looks like at the moment, it is very basic but covers what a community centre would need. However, with the Artist Studio Kit, that’s all about to change.

Somewhat bare and not a great deal going on. I ended up spending some time experimenting with different objects, colours and ideas until I ended up with something that I liked.
Art Studio Revamp
As I was planning on revamping the Celebration Centre as a whole, I removed the Kids Activity Tables from my revamp. This was because I’m going to add them back in a different area of the build. As for the room itself, I think it came together really well. It became a mix of an art studio, a photo studio and a space to work on woodwork projects.

Yes, you also did spot a couple of MySims decor sneaked into the decorations too!
I can’t wait to carry on renovating the Celebration Centre in-game and create more spaces for activities for my Sims to take part in!
The Sims 4 Artist Studio Review
I couldn’t do a little The Sims 4 build without sharing a few quick thoughts about the Artist Studio Kit.
From the moment the Kit was revealed, I knew this was one I’d use in a lot of areas of my game. The range of objects that come in the Kit will be very versatile. For me, it’s definitely a small yet mighty Kit. From creating smaller dedicated rooms in Community Lots to creating an at-home art studio, this Kit is perfect. The swatches are spot on, coming in a variety of clean and paint-marked variants, which just add even more to the overall artistic theme.
Having a new Kit focused on creating art-inspired builds does leave me with a few questions. Positive ones, of course. Could we see more craft-inspired Kits in the future? Maybe we will see a craft activity Stuff Pack, much like Nifty Knitting or Crystal Creations, in the future? There are still so many crafts that could be explored within The Sims 4, such as pottery making. This has popped up as a possible theme in previous surveys and one that is often mentioned by the community.
However, my overall first impressions of The Sims 4 Artist Studio Kit are pretty positive. I love how versatile the Kit is and how you can also incorporate it with objects from other additional content such as The Sims 4 Industrial Loft Kit and Moshchino Stuff Pack to name a couple. Build Kits for me have been a little hit or miss for my own play style lately, however, neither The Sims 4 Artist Studio nor Storybook Nursery Kits disappoint!
Have you picked up either of these two new Kits for The Sims 4? Let me know what you think in the comments!
