As a fan of Overwatch and a FEARNOT, when I saw this collaboration revealed, I could not wait to dive in and take part. It wasn’t just about the new song or the Concert Clash event that had me excited but the overall collaboration.
Perfect Night
Firstly, this wasn’t what I was initially expecting, but it was so much better than what I imagined.
I’ve had the song on repeat since it was released. It’s just such a happy yet chill kind of song that is perfect for this collaboration. Always find myself having a little sing or dance along to it.
Overwatch 2 x LE SSERAFIM Skins
The skins and cosmetics available for this collaboration were amazing! The quality and detail of every aspect were definitely some of the best I’ve seen in Overwatch for a while. Just how they’ve captured LE SSERAFIM and FEARNOT and incorporated that into the outfits. The holographic effects on the skins, the colours, the weapon details just everything was perfect!
As for the pricing, I was honestly surprised at how they were priced both per hero and for the bundle. I was expecting it to be at least double if I’m honest. I did cave and bought the bundle as they are all heroes that I play depending on the game mode I’m playing but I do feel I’ll get my money’s worth out of the purchase.
The Main Event, Concert Clash!
With eleven challenges to complete, it was going to be easy, right? Well, think again! This event had me feeling so stressed out at times!
You’d have a few games where you could easily navigate getting twenty-five tickets. The next match would be close and then just lose at the last moment. I did experience a handful of toxic matches, but did my best not to sink to that level and focused on the task. Despite this, the Concert Clash event was actually pretty fun to play through.
The challenges were easy and straight forward to complete, with periodic LE SSERAFIM themed rewards and battle pass experience. I felt that the rewards were spread evenly throughout the challenges and gave us, as players something to work towards.
Overall Thoughts
Well, the collaboration event with LE SSERAFIM has definitely reignited my excitement to play Overwatch 2 again on a more regular basis. I’m not the best Overwatch player and make mistakes at times but I have fun!
As for the collaboration, this was the perfect combination for me and so many other players. Not only did it bring existing players and fans together but it introduced so many people to both Overwatch 2 and LE SSERAFIM!
It will be interesting to see if Overwatch collaborate with more K-pop groups and idols in the future, or just any other artists going forward. I’d love to see Stray Kids or maybe even TWICE or Aespa? Who knows, only time will tell.
