Although there is currently no confirmed release date, the team behind the upcoming game have begun sharing some first looks as to what potential players can expect.

Firstly, have a look at the game’s teaser video on YouTube entitled Side by Side.

At just under two minutes long, the teaser packs in a lot in such a short amount of time. From an introduction to the world and a glimpse at some of the many curious, cute and adorable looking Anima that inhabit this new world.

Looks pretty exciting, right?

A world full of places to explore and discover, Anima to meet, capture and become friends with as well I’m sure plenty or mysteries and stories that will unfold. Do you have what it takes to become an Animamaster in the Planes?

Early Gameplay Sneak Peek

As well as the teaser for Honkai Nexus Anima, an early glimpse at some of the gameplay was also shared by the development team. This is an early look at some of the gameplay from Honkai Nexus Anima, and it already looks like it’s going to be great fun when it launches.

It’s important to note that the footage shared in this video is subject to change however, even as a first look, Honkai Nexus Anima is looking impressive.

The first minute or so of the video, shows a variety of characters traversing and exploring the world, accompanied by some of the many Animas you’ll meet on your journey. Each looking distinctively unique from one another and with a variety of different abilities and Anima types on show!

What are Anima, you may be asking yourself? Well, they are the names of the creatures and companions you’ll find in Honkai Nexus Anima.

Next up, we took a dive into character customization!

As this is still an in development look, there were only a small handful of options showcased in each category. However, it still gives us an idea as to the level of creation and customization players will have when the game launches.

There certainly were some interesting accessory choices shown. Maybe they have additional abilities that can be used alongside the in game Animas?

Moving forward in the video, we got another glimpse at some of the Animas in Honkai Nexus Anima. We then moved onto a showcase of some of the features and things that our new friends can do. Such as taking part in a variety of mini-games, destroying objects and walls in a building and taking part in a battle mini-game to name a few!

Speaking of the battle mini-game, it appears you can choose various skill traits or power up traits to help you as you progress through the game and against the other Anima.

My Initial Thoughts

As another game entering into the HoYoverse/Honkai realm, it’s exciting and interesting to see how the game continues to develop. While personally, I don’t know much about the Honkai series of games, I have however played just a little bit of Genshin Impact over the years and enjoyed what I played.

The game looks promising, and I’m curious to see how Honkai Nexus Anima brings a new perspective into the creature-capturing game genre. It is certainly on my radar and one I’ll most likely check out when it does release.

What are your thoughts on Honkai Nexus Anima? Is it one you’ll be diving into when it launches?
