Well, well, well, would you look at that. The Sims 4 is finally getting fairies in the upcoming Enchanted by Nature expansion pack!
After various teasers and leaks over the past week or so, as well as a hint a few packs ago which contained a fairy house. Anyway, I digress!
Launching across a variety of platforms, including Xbox and PlayStation on 10th July 2025, The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature not only brings fairies to the current iteration of the franchise but also a number of ways where your Sims can get closer to nature.
The Reveal Trailer
If you haven’t already watched the reveal trailer, you can check it out below!
First, A Few More Details
Yes, The Sims 4 are finally introducing fairies to the game. After a long absence from the game, we now only have a few weeks until they flutter their way back in.
However, with fairies and becoming closer with nature, we need an exciting new world to reside in. This comes in the form of Innisgreen, a world described as having a beautiful and lush land where Sims can live in perfect or chaotic harmony.
Rumoured to be inspired by New Zealand, this new world is split into three different neighbourhoods. These neighbourhoods are Coast of Adhmor, Sprucederry Forest and Everwick. Each with its own characteristics and packed full of places to explore and live!

Most notably, fairies are returning!
Previously seen back in The Sims 3 Supernatural, it’s been nearly thirteen years since they’ve been a present game feature. After watching the trailer and reading through the reveal blog post, Sims can become a fairy once they have completed a transformation. There also appears to be two different pathways that a Sim can choose, which is a Harmonious Fairy or a Discordant Fairy.
As well as a new world and fairies, there will be plenty of new things for your Sims to discover, such as new skills, traits, aspirations, new plants to grow and, potions to make. There’s also ailments, elixirs and cures, Sims can learn all about, which will come in handy when you come across Sims with different ailments. This alongside the new Build Buy Objects, Create A Sim options and plenty more!

First Impressions & Initial Thoughts
I have to say, I’ve been looking for something to get me back into The Sims 4 again for a while now. I’ve always enjoyed The Sims games however, more recently it doesn’t seem to keep my interest like it has done in the past. However, I have a feeling that The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature may just bring that breath of fresh air to my play style and call me back to diving into the game again.
Firstly, fairies.
While I got into The Sims 3 incredibly late, I never really explored fairies back during this time, so I’m intrigued to get to know how they work in The Sims 4 compared to what I remember from The Sims 3 days. I think it adds a nice option when it comes to game play and story telling. However, gameplay. This is where I was most curious. While I’m not the biggest occult player when it comes to The Sims games, I did enjoy playing with Spellcasters when they first came out back in the Realm of Magic Game Pack. I’m guessing, that you’ll have a similar kind of experience with their features and how you develop your fairy skills, however, it all being tailored towards fairies instead.
Also, the new little world that appears at the end of the trailer that appears to be just for fairy Sims. That will be interesting to find out more about too!

Yet, it’s not just the new world and fairies that have me curious. The new, what looks like potion-making skill, living off of the land, something to do with growing various plants and becoming one with nature has me wanting to know more. The gameplay trailer is still to come, as is plenty more information between now and the launch in just under one month’s time! I think Sims trying to be more in line with nature and the natural world will make for some interesting off the grid style game play too.
There’s still so many smaller, finer details I’m yet to notice, so I’m certainly going to need to go back over the trailer again in a bit more detail to see what I haven’t spotted just yet!
However, it’s not just gameplay I’m looking forward to exploring more, it’s also building new homes and lots in general in the new world. The trailer certainly gives you a good starting idea of the kind of Build Buy objects coming with the next expansion. I can see myself having a go at making some fantasy/Lord of the Rings inspired builds when I decide to pick up the pack.

As of right now, I think it’s best to say I’m looking forward to the new expansion pack and learning more about the new pack, but more so that I’m cautiously excited. It has potential to be a good addition to The Sims 4 overall, I’m just worried if it will fill the boots with what an expansion pack usually contains. Hesitant, yes, although it’s still early days and plenty of time for that to change! I guess that’s more down to how much unknown there still is.
In the meantime, there’s time to check out the Nature’s Calling event that launches shortly. The event will be one way to your Sims ready for adventures in nature ahead of the expansion’s release in early July.
