Discover Upcoming Games at Steam Next Fest June 2025

After a weekend full of gaming goodness via an array of showcases, we are now heading into Steam Next Fest territory!

Not sure what Steam Next Fest is? Well, it’s simply a celebration of upcoming games that are coming to Steam. Starting on 9th June and running through until the 16th June 2025, you’ll be able to have a look at numerous livestreams, talk with developers, paly various demos and wishlist so many exciting new games!

With so much on offer during this Steam Next Fest, I wanted to showcase some of the upcoming games that took my interest. While there are multiple I’d love to include, here are ten that caught my attention!

Astronook

  • Developer/Publisher: FrozenYetiGames
  • Genre: Casual/Indie
  • Release Date: Coming Soon

Step into your late-Grandfather’s study and explore the world of astronomy.

Study the stars, discover cosmic wonders and just do a spot of stargazing, all while sipping on a hot drink. With a number of constellations to map out, opportunities to photograph a variety of planets, document your cosmic wonders and keep up to date with all the celestial mysteries all while accompanied by a touching heartfelt narrative.

Ship, Inc.

  • Developer/Publisher: Rouge Duck Interactive
  • Genre: Casual, Indie, Simulation, Strategy
  • Release Date: 23rd June 2025

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a packaging expert? Well, now you can in the upcoming game Ship, Inc.

Every package counts in Ship, Inc. You’ll play your part from start to finish in its journey, including sorting, packaging and shipping the various parcels to where they need to go amidst the growing business demand! Of course, all of this needs to be done with care and attention and at an efficient pace. So, are you ready for the challenge?

KuloNiku: Bowl Up!

  • Developer/Publisher: Gambir Studio
  • Genre: Casual, Indie, Simulation
  • Release Date: Q3 2025

You’ve inherited a famous restaurant, and now it’s time to bring it back to its former glory. You see, this isn’t just any old restaurant, though. It’s your Grandma’s famous meatball restaurant located in KuloNiku!

Now, the locals are excited to get their hands on the famous meals. However, customers aren’t just customers. You may discover some can become your rivals or even your allies. So while you take part in cooking battles and ensuring you’ve got the freshest looking restaurant in town!

April Grove

  • Developer/Publisher: Colorgrave
  • Genre: Adventure, Casual
  • Release Date: 23rd June 2025

Chop one tree. Chop two trees. Chop some more!

April Grove is described as a world to discover and savour. In a world without danger, you’ll find yourself chopping trees, gathering logs, trading them for gold to allow you to purchase food, upgrades, and you can even donate gold too.

Go at your own pace as you discover this mysterious world and meet the various characters. Enjoy the relaxing soundtrack and pet the local animals too!

Danchi Days

Help revive a popular and beloved Summer Festival in Danchi Days!

You play as Hoshino whose aim is to bring the festival back to its former glory. Through a series of fun mini-games, exploring quirky websites, getting to know her neighbours and explore the local area. Oh, and you’ll even get your own mysterious assistant called Moro-Q!

Hirogami

A 3D action platformer game inspired by origami? Well, that is exactly what Hirogami is!

Explore and traverse a variety of different levels, solve puzzles and take on your enemies. Each and every aspect of the game has been created to portray the fragile physical and natural world, alongside an interwoven story throughout the game.

Do you have your wits about you to take on this origami world, discover its secret and protect it from blight?

Hotel Galactic

  • Developer/Publisher: Ancient Forge
  • Genre: Casual, Simulation
  • Release Date: 24th July 2025

A whimsical heartfelt story combined with cosy management features. Create the dream getaway for tourists and help Gustav is his search for redemption. Explore a number of magical and nostalgic worlds, create bonds with others, and discover lush gardens while helping maintain a thriving colony!

Hotel Galactic is a story featuring gorgeous hand-painted visual and animations which allows you to explore themes of redemption, love and vengance.

A World of Keflings

  • Developer/Publisher: NinjaBee
  • Genre: Adventure, Casual, Simulation
  • Release Date: Coming Soon

Don’t underestimate the Keflings. While they may be small, they also experience some impressive large scale adventures in their kingdom’s. Originally seen back in the early Xbox days, Keflings are making their classic city-building adventure return to Steam. So get ready to explore, harvest resources, build robots, take on a dragon and help the creepiest of creepy witches!

ILA: A Frosty Glide

Coco, ILA’s beloved cat, has vanished out of nowhere, and now her task is to find him and bring him back home! As a witch-in-training and armed with her magical Skatebroom, go on a journey of discovering hidden secrets and stories, as well as learning and improving your flying skills and uncovering valuable items.

Undusted: Letters from the Past

A beautiful art style, a heartfelt and emotional story exploring family themes all within a casual and relaxed setting. Follow Adora throughout this relaxing journey as you recall memories from various objects and restore them back to their original brand-new condition. Every object has a hidden story. Maybe they will help her understand what happened to her relationship with her Mother, as well as help her process her Mother’s passing.

There is so much to explore during this June 2025 Steam Next Fest. With demo’s galore to play for a limited time, you can really get a glimpse of so many upcoming games! Games that span a number of genre’s, styles, storylines and more. I’ve certainly found myself adding a fair few games that have made their way onto my Steam Wishlist.
