This past month has been a pretty good month for games for me. There’s been so much releasing and announced, and I’m incredibly excited to be rounding out the month with another game I’ve been looking forward to for some time now!
The game in question is none other than the latest Duck Detective game, Duck Detective The Ghost of Glamping.
Now, you may recall last year when Happy Broccoli Games revealed Duck Detective The Secret Salami took the world on such an adventure. I loved this game, and it was one of my favourites for last year.

A New Case Awaits
A new game means a new case awaits, however, what ghostly mysteries lay ahead, is yet to be decided!
The Detective Returns
The Duck Detective is back! Get ready to interview suspects, inspect evidence, and deduce the truth in another stand-alone mystery!
Bread Dead Redemption
This campsite might have ghosts, but the real thing haunting Eugene McQuacklin is his failed marriage and bread addiction. Can he escape the shadows of his past?
Every Detective Needs A Sidekick
To the annoyance of the Duck Detective, he is joined by a new partner in (solving) crime. Work together to unravel the truth and nibble on the crumbs of justice!
Game Features:
- A 2-3 hour long cosy mystery game!
- A stand-alone sequel to the acclaimed Duck Detective: The Secret Salami!
- Interview suspects, fill in the blanks and crack the case!
- Fully voice-acted cast of suspiciously secretive characters!
- Dive into a murky pond of delinquency and dredge up the truth!
- Throw bread to the fine beak of lady justice!

Time to Quack The Case!
Eugene McQuacklin is back and is about to head off on a holiday with his new roommate, Frederson. Now, it’s been a tough few months for the Duck Detective, however, maybe a Glamping holiday will be just what he needs, well, maybe needs.
Those of you who played Duck Detective The Secret Salami will be accustomed to how to go about searching for clues, talking to potential suspects, as well as the Duck Detective’s history of a failed marriage and a bread addiction. Even if you haven’t played the first game, you’ll be fine, as each game is its own stand-alone experience.
So, now you’re off on a ghostly glamping holiday, dreaming of all the ways that you could be spending your time instead. Hoping for just a crumb of an escape back to reality. However, slowly but surely, your investigatory senses begin to tingle. Suddenly what once was going to be a holiday spent being the third-wheel was turned upside down!

Without spoiling the main aspects of the storyline and of course the case, you suddenly find yourself in the thick of it. Getting to know each of the characters for better or for worst as you try and solve this mystery. Each character is voiced by one of many talented voice actors, which truly helps bring the characters to life and show their personalities. Anyone could be the suspect and mastermind behind the crimes!
While the game is around two to three hours, there is plenty to keep you cosy and captivated while you solve the mystery. While you search for clues, piece together each piece and link, and the game keeps you wondering what else you can discover.
You’ll find yourself caught up trying to solve the mystery, figure out who is and isn’t innocent, be surprised by the way parts of the story play out and more throughout your time with the Duck Detective and of course, Frederson the Investi-gator. If you know, you know!

In total, it took me a little over three hours to complete the game. I decided for my first play through to choose the Story Mode option, which to a degree will guide you to the correct answers when figuring out your Deducktions! You have a second game mode, which doesn’t guide you as much when it comes to piecing together the various clues. Both game modes are fine to play through.
I have to say, I love the Duck Detective games. The mystery, the relatable voice lines as well as the cosy feeling you get when playing. Not to mention the art-style, the music, the story, the characters, the sticker style aspects, just everything and this continues to be true with the second game. Of course, having played through the game’s story, it does leave me wondering what happens next? Is there a third game to continue the kind of ongoing storyline? There are just so many questions!
So, if you’re looking for a mysterious cosy game to check out that is short and sweet, then Duck Detective The Ghost of Glamping might be the perfect game to check out!
Duck Detective The Ghost of Glamping is out right now on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch!
