Decofarm is the new release from the team at Battle Koi. A game about creating a cute and cosy farm.
This small clicker game has you earning coins by destroying and picking up the debris it leaves behind. The more coins you earn, the more you can continue to grow and expand your farm. Levelling up, the magical and mystical Windmill to unlock more features and ways to customise your farm. Of course, no farming themed game is complete without some adorable animals either!
Getting Started
Let’s jump straight into Decofarm!
A quick on screen tutorial guides you through the basics of navigating around the screen, and then you are free to start clearing debris on the farm. There’s no right or wrong way about curating your farm, ultimately you just go with the flow, clearing one object at a time. Soon you’ll be underway and creating your cozy farm.

Making Progress
The game itself is pretty self-explanatory. The more you earn in coins, the more you can expand your farm and level up the windmill. Levelling up the Windmill will allow you to improve your stats as well as unlocking more features. You can increase your damage, the number of maximum coins you can hold at any one time, discover the Spirit Animals and much more.
Additionally, you can keep an eye on what your current game stats are by checking the journal located at the top right-hand side of the screen.

Strategic Planning
It’s important to note that objects have different benefits. Some will increase or decrease the number of idle coins you can receive, whereas others will improve your damage done to debris. As you progress further into the game, you can unlock items such as the Coin Shop, which will auto collect any coins dropped by debris. Saving you having to run the mouse over the coins.
Animal friends, well from cats and chickens to ducks, sheep and cows, you’ll find a host of friends to add to your farm over time. Like many other aspects of the game, these too will also help increase the number of passive coins you gather over time. They will also each have names, and you can interact with them by petting them too.

Feeling Stuck?
Don’t worry if you find yourself wondering what you need to do. Sometimes just sitting back for a few moments, taking a short break and letting the game build upon coins for a moment is fine. It can also allow you a moment to figure out what you want to focus on next!
Overall Thoughts
Decofarm is a cute and cosy game I didn’t know existed or that I would enjoy. Thanks to someone sharing it on Discord, I decided to check it out and give it a go. The game itself, released 16th February 2025, so a day ago and is very budget friendly. It currently has an introductory offer where you can save 15% off it’s normal retail price of £2.49/your regional equivalent until 23rd February 2025.
However, did I enjoy Decofarm?
The easy and short answer is of course I did! It was definitely the game I’ve been needing the last few days. Very laid back and easy going. Freedom to play in what order you want to create your little farm.
Now I’ve been playing on and off all day, so probably over the span of about six hours or so. While some of that time has been spent playing through Decofarm, I also left it running in the background while I work on other things or just going about my day. Why? Well, the music is actually very calming and soothing. It was nice to just have playing in the background.
As for gameplay, though, I only have a few things left to unlock in a some of the object menus before I finally have everything unlocked. There’s also one spirit animal I’m yet to unlock, too. I will admit, to start with the first hour was a little bit of a grind especially with the low damage ability, but slowly that built up, and it was a lot easier to clear debris in the game.
Part of me doesn’t want the game to end, as it’s been fun to chill with the game and even more so writing this with the music playing in the background. Yet, overall, Decofarm was a lovely cosy game discovery for what has been a rather chilly Monday.
So, if you are looking for a nice little cosy farming game, do make sure to check out Battle Koi’s Decofarm now over on Steam right here!
