What Are My Upcoming Games Launching by the End of the Year?

As we approach the final three months of the year, there are still so many video games that I’m looking forward to. Even just writing this post has me thinking about the variety of games we’ve seen over these past nine months. From big launches for triple-A games to small indie game gems, there has been a true mix. At the same time, though, there are still so many still to come, to discover and explore upon their release.

With so many to choose from, it was hard to narrow down just a selection of the ones I’m excited to launch over the next few months. However, without further ado, let’s have a look!

The Sims 4 Life & Death

The upcoming The Sims 4 expansion pack comes out in around a month and has its first look in just a few days. While minimal information is known about the expansion at the moment, there have been some clues to the pack theme in the previous months and plenty of speculation and discussions as to what players would love to see.

Upon seeing the new expansion teased in the latest The Sims 4 Roadmap, it has pulled me back into playing a brand new save again. Alongside the current Grim’s Reaper Rewards event, it’s definitely getting me ready for Spooky Season too! I’m looking forward to the First Look details next week!

Infinity Nikki

Who doesn’t want to dive in and explore Miraland?

This cosy open-world, fashion dress-up, puzzle platform game is right up my street. While there is no confirmed release date, there’s been much talk about the game launching by the end of this year!

Everything about the game shouts my kind of game, and I’ve been keeping up to date with all the latest about the fifth instalment to the Nikki game series over the past few months.

Europa

An adventure game about peaceful exploration, adventure and meditation. Europa honestly looks gorgeous and is the perfect game to wind down and get cosy with during these autumnal evenings.

NEVA

Now, if you’ve played GRIS, you will want to make sure you check out Neva!

Follow the game as you discover the story and lifelong bond of Alba and Neva in this upcoming, emotionally charged action adventure game.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time with GRIS when it first launched, and I’m looking forward to exploring Neva once it’s released.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure

I’ve always enjoyed the Life is Strange games, so you can imagine I’m quite looking forward to Life is Strange Double Exposure. Even more, as we get to revisit the game with Max and Chloe. There’s just something about the Life is Strange games that just pull you in wanting to know what happens next, what if you made the opposite choice to the one you made and has you on such a roller coaster ride throughout.

Tavern Keeper

Now, I’ve previously talked about Tavern Keeper back when the demo first came out for the game. I loved my time with the game’s demo. There’s still so much to explore, but this has such a unique charm that I can’t wait for the game to enter Early Access in November!

LEGO Horizon Adventures

I love LEGO and LEGO games as well as the Horizon games, so this is the perfect combination for me. I don’t have too much to say about this game, so I’ll let the trailer do all the talking instead.

Critter Café

Another game that has been on my radar for some time is Critter Café!

I can’t wait to dive in and run my own cosy little Café and meet all the mystical characters in the game. I can already see this will be another game to chill out with on those dark and rainy evenings as we get closer to Winter.

I*Chu: Chibi Edition

I’ve loved discovering visual novel games this year, and I*Chu is one that grabbed my attention when it dropped into my emails lately. I don’t know much about the history of I*Chu but, I’m intrigued to have a look at the game and learn more as a producer for some aspiring idols in the game.

Planet Coaster 2

Growing up with the likes of Theme Park World as a kid, Planet Coaster has been another of those games that I’m drawn to firstly because they look good and secondly for nostalgic reasons.

As for Planet Coaster 2 itself, I like that you can build not only a traditional theme park filled with various roller coasters and rides but also make a splash with water parks! Definitely one I’m looking forward to.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard

The final game I’m adding to this list and is a little different from many of the previously mentioned games is the upcoming Dragon Age game. I will admit, I’ve only slightly dabbled in the world of Dragon Age in the past yet, it’s also a franchise that’s always highly recommended to me. I guess now is a good time to dive into the games properly.

Needless to say, there are plenty of games on the way that I’m looking forward to checking out. Whether they will be at launch releases or a little later, I’m not sure yet, with so many games, it’s a case of being thoughtful as to which I’ll be picking up and when. This isn’t even all the games I’m excited for! As always, so many games and so little time to check them all out, but somehow we always make it work.

What games are you looking forward to checking out over the next few months?
