Discover MySims Central: A Cozy Fan Haven for MySims Enthusiasts

Today, I want to introduce you to something I’m incredibly excited about and proud to be a part of.

However, first, let me fill you in with a bit of a backstory.

MySims, A History

MySims is a spin-off series of games inspired by the main The Sims games. While they take a slightly different approach to the much-loved life simulation game, MySims also opened up The Sims franchise overall to a much wider audience.

In total, six games were released over the space of around three years. They were primarily released on Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. The original MySims was also released on PC and Mobile. The last instalment of the MySims series, MySims Sky Heroes was the first and only game to also be released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Here’s the full list of MySims games released between 2007 and 2010:

  • MySims (2007)
  • MySims Kingdom (2008)
  • MySims Party (2009)
  • MySims Racing (2009)
  • MySims Agents (2009)
  • MySims Sky Heroes (2010)

An August Nintendo Direct Surprise

The August Nintendo Direct really didn’t prepare MySims fans for some amazing news. After almost fourteen long years, EA and Maxis have decided to release both MySims and MySims Kingdom as a duo bundle retro-re-release on Nintendo Switch this November!

A New Adventure Awaits

The announcement of the MySims Cozy Bundle sparked an idea between my close friend SnarkyWitch and me. As two people who grew up with not only The Sims but also MySims and have a passion for writing, why not combine the two together.

As a result, we decided to create and launch our joint passion project. A fan site you could say with the aim of creating a cozy community for MySims.

The name, MySims Central.

Welcome to MySims Central

With a website launched and an account on X (formerly Twitter), we quickly discovered that our passion project was welcomed into the MySims community very quickly. The response was incredibly positive, and the follower count was growing to more than we expected. The support and love we’ve seen so far for our project and the MySims series have been wholesome and something I don’t know if we have the words for right now.

First and foremost, this is a passion project for SnarkyWitch and me. We have lots of ideas for content and social media that we wish to share over time in the lead-up to the retro re-release and beyond.

Currently, we are both building up our MySims collections of any missing games and enjoying diving back into such a wonderful collection of games.

Where Can I Find MySims Central?

At this moment in time, we are most active on the project’s X account and website. We have other social media accounts in place which will be launched properly in due course.

I’m very excited to see how MySims Central continues to grow both with its content and the cozy community for the game. I’ve also been enjoying working on something like this again, just with a different spin and outlook on the overall picture!
