There are so many cosy video games out there to explore these days. Regardless of whether it is an upcoming release, recently released or even one that has been out for a while, it can sometimes feel a little overwhelming.
However, with such a choice, I wanted to share five cosy games that I’m excited to play. These are a mixture of upcoming releases, recent releases and even ones I’ve already purchased but have been sitting in my backlog ever since. If you know, you know!
Bandle Tale: A League of Legends Story
Bandle Tale was a day-one purchase for me, however, I was distracted by several other games and still haven’t gotten a chance to start this yet.
A lone Yordel has a big problem to fix as you explore the League of Legends-inspired world, however, what actually makes a Yordel? I guess I’ll only discover the true meaning of this question by making my way through this adorable and magical-looking game!
Moonglow Bay
Now, Moonglow Bay has been out for a while on Xbox, but, it’s about to launch on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 very soon! In fact, it’s launching on 11th April 2024!
This game has always been on my radar, however, it’s another that I’ve just never got around to playing. I think that was more down to the fact I found myself hoping it would eventually come to Nintendo Switch and hey, it’s just days away until it swims onto the platform. It’s also the same day that the exciting Picture Perfect update lands!
One thing that has always drawn me to Moonglow Bay is the art style. The voxel art style for me just adds to the cosy feel of the game and the story. You are a newbie angler who will be working alongside friends, family and neighbours to help restore the town by fishing the days away, what more could you ask for?
Spirit City: Lofi Sessions
A game with a twist!
Described as a gamified version of a focus tool, Spirit City Lofi Sessions incorporates lofi scenes mixed with discovering and collecting spirits. You can also design and customize your own space. Don’t forget to make use of the handy in-game features to help keep you on track and focused on the tasks ahead!
New Pokémon Snap
Okay, hear me out first. This is purely for nostalgic reasons and essentially as a restart.
I initially played around a couple of hours or so of New Pokémon Snap when it first came out and, for whatever reason, just stopped playing altogether. I loved playing this game when it first came out on the Nintendo 64 and wanted to revisit my childhood once again with the Nintendo Switch version.
SUMMERHOUSE
There are zero rules when it comes to SUMMERHOUSE! Simply create gorgeous homes, build to your heart’s content and relax. This truly is the perfect game for me, and is another on my wish list, and is super affordable!
These are some of the many cosy video games I’m excited to play soon. Of course, there are so many more cosy video games out there waiting to be discovered too!
What cosy games have you been playing recently or are looking forward to playing?
