The festive season seems to have ended as quickly as it arrived in 2023. As much as it was a busy time of year, it was definitely a strange one for me this year. However, that’s a story for another day, possibly.
Now that we’re a few days into the New Year, I’ve been thinking about goals and resolutions for the year ahead. Not only that but also things that I want to try my hand at this year. Don’t worry, we aren’t about to set off on an adventure to a new island or anything like that just yet, as the title may be hinting at.
This year, I wanted to do my best to stick to any resolutions and goals I set myself. They aren’t unrealistic or unattainable things. If I can’t complete them, I’ll have done what I can to work towards them, and I’m okay with that if that happens.
Resolutions & Goals
So what is on my mind? What kind of resolutions and goals have I set for myself? Do I really think they are achievable? Well, yes, I suppose.
Firstly some resolutions. These are just a few that are on my list. I’ve not shared all of them as they are more personal ones, but these are more generalised ones and orientated towards content creation/video games.
- Be Happy. Be Healthy
- Trust myself. Trust the process
- Continue to be my true authentic self
- Explore different topics and opportunities when it comes to content creation
As for goals, these are a real mixture of different things that I not only want to try out but work towards going forward throughout the year and beyond
- Reach 500 views on LeeksCosyCorner Blog
- Start creating a journal
- Work through my gaming backlog
- Read 10 books (or more) this year
- Build my LEGO MOC (My Own Creation) of the BTS Dynamite Set
- Connect with more video game bloggers and writers
- Attend more concerts
I think both the resolutions and goals I’ve set are realistic and achievable. There are a few from both lists I’ve not mentioned as they are much more personal, but I think these are suitable and ones I know will be fun to work towards too!
What Does 2024 Look Like for LeeksCosyCorner?
I have a few ideas up my sleeve already. A few bits in the works and hopefully some more ideas to come. It’s still very early days for me and blogging again, and I’m excited to see where this year takes me.
There are many games that I want to start and finish playing so that I can write about them. My backlog is forever growing! I also have some more fun, almost geek/pop-culture lifestyle posts I want to cover as well in the future. Music, books, movies and television shows I’m sure will make an appearance in the mix of content throughout the year. That’s not to mention any other surprises or ideas that may pop up throughout the year, too!
That being said, I’m looking forward to a new year and what adventures may lie ahead!
