We are just under a week away from the biggest Disney Dreamlight Valley update. An update that not only brings the game out of its early access phase but also introduces a wave of new features. Of course, the first expansion pass launches at the same time, again something that is also highly anticipated!
As someone who has been getting back into the game over the last month or so and was pretty happy with the first Dreamlight Valley Showcase, here are my top five reasons that I’m looking forward to this update.

New Friends Joining the Valley
I’m excited to be able to add even more familiar faces to the cosy chaos of my Valley. Naturally, I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of quest line the one and only pumpkin King, Jack Skellington will have as well as our scary screaming monster friends in the near future.
It’s not just those coming in the update but also discovering new friends but also the A Rift in Time expansion pack. Gaston, Eve and Rapunzel
Multiplayer
Much like Animal Crossing New Horizons, I can’t wait to explore the Valley’s of my friends. There was always something about exploring and playing alongside friends that just made the whole experience even more engaging and exciting.
Don’t forget to save your coins so you can go on a little shopping adventure on your friend’s islands!

A Rift in Time Expansion Pack
I’m incredibly excited about the first expansion pack. Discovering the secrets of the new world of Eternity Isle, harnessing the power of the new Royal Hourglass, creating memories, causing chaos and so much more. I know upon launch there will only be so much from the expansion available but I think that it will be a good way of pacing our way through the new expansion content and base game content too.
Dreamlight Valley on Apple Arcade
Out of sheer curiosity, I am actually wanting to see how Disney Dreamlight Valley will play via Apple Arcade. I’m not entirely sure how well the experience will be but I guess the only way to find out will be by checking it out around the launch. Being able to play Dreamlight Valley on the go will be great for passing time when travelling!

With so much fun and exciting new content right on the horizon, I know that Disney Dreamlight Valley will be one game I’ll be looking forward to spending my time with during these colder winter evenings. Snuggled up under a blanket all cosy with my Nintendo Switch, sounds perfect right?
What do you think of the upcoming Disney Dreamlight Valley update and expansion pass?
